Full Scale Legal Representation

How It Works:
When your case is opened, an advance deposit (called a retainer) is obtained before any work is started on the case. This retainer is held in a regulated trust account carefully administered by the firm. As the attorney/paralegal performs work on your case, the time is tracked and then an invoice is prepared, typically on a monthly basis. Shortly thereafter, the earned fees are transferred from the trust account into the firm’s operating account as it is then “earned.”

Work performed on your case is tracked in tenths of an hour, or 6 minute increments. Billable time includes things like telephone calls and communications by electronic mail, drafting and reviewing documents, travel time, appearances at meetings and hearings, and legal research.

We require that you, depending on your case, maintain a retainer account balance of $1500.00 on a monthly basis. Therefore, for example, if $500.00 is billed on your account in the month of August, in September you will receive a bill for $500 to replenish your retainer back to $1500.00. This ensures that you always have funds in your retainer account for the work that must be completed on your behalf.

Unearned retainer account funds are refunded at the conclusion of your case.
